This unique book in English, carefully compiled and edited by his daughter Ana Ćosić Pajurin, is based on authentic diary entries kept by the legendary Krešo Ćosić throughout his life. From his basketball beginnings in Zadar and dominance in the national team jersey, through his cult status at Brigham Young University (BYU) in Utah, to his diplomatic career during the challenging years of the modern Croatian state's formation, the book offers a behind-the-scenes look at the life of a man who changed the rules of the game—both on and off the court. A foreword by the late U.S. Senator Orrin G. Hatch—a longtime close friend of Krešo—lends special historical significance to this edition, highlighting his immense impact on bridging American and Croatian cultures. Inspired by a title that celebrates Krešo’s signature warm smile and unstoppable optimism, this memoir is more than just a sports biography; it is a story of faith, patriotism, pushing boundaries, and the life philosophy of a man who was decades ahead of his time. It is the perfect gift for fans of basketball, sports history, and inspiring stories.
